This holiday home is not just an attractive accommodation for your Tuscany holiday, it is also a piece of history. Here guests have the opportunity to stay in the ancient brickworks of Laterina, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the town of the same name in the province of Arezzo. The recently renovated apartments are cozy, elegant and furnished in Tuscan country style to offer guests an unforgettable holiday under the warm Tuscan sun.

This exceptional holiday home is the result of the careful transformation of an area that has been characterized by significant production over the last 300 years, handcrafted terracotta. Since 1710, all kinds of clay products have been produced in a large brick kiln in the immediate vicinity of the town of Laterina. The owner of the oven was already the Baglioni family back then. She kept this craft alive over the centuries, so that the old tradition of Tuscan hand bricks was preserved and continued until 2011. The careful transformation of the rooms into a charming holiday accommodation has perfectly managed to preserve the original spirit.

The various apartments are located where bricks, roof tiles etc. used to be left to dry before being fired in the kiln. Handcrafted terracotta was also produced in the same rooms at certain times of the year.
The tradition is also reflected in the furnishing of the rooms: it is restored furniture from the brick kiln itself or from the houses of workers and their descendants. The names of the apartments were named after the workers who shaped the history of the old factory. Of course, the apartments are equipped to modern standards and satellite TV, air conditioning and WiFi are available.

The property is on the village road that leads to Laterina. While all living rooms and some bedrooms face the garden side, other bedrooms are on the street side. This street is mostly quiet, even quieter at night. Thanks to the double-glazed windows and air conditioning, the noise in the apartments is very pleasantly dampened.

A special room of approximately 100 square meters is the perfect venue for larger gatherings with an eco-green country house atmosphere. Staff will be happy to help you so that you can experience your special day stress-free.

Schwimmbäder
In the spacious garden (4 hectares) there are two pools available to guests: one measures 6x12m and has a depth of 1.40m, the other is a children's pool of 3x4m with a depth of 0.80m. There are wooden pavilions around the pools, as well as loungers and sunbeds for guests.

Free parking and electric vehicle charging station
The property offers the possibility of charging electric cars directly in the holiday home's parking lot.

BBQ area
In addition to a traditional barbecue located under a canopy, a large hand-made barbecue of 2m diameter and with 8 different sections is available to guests at any time, next to a strawberry grape pergola. Shady tables under the pergola invite you to enjoy cozy meals and at the same time entice you with a wonderful panoramic view.

Massages and beauty services
Upon request, various services (manicure, pedicure, facial cleansing) are conveniently available in the holiday apartment. We also offer relaxing massages with hot oil, anti-cellulite massages or draining massages.

Terracotta course
Since Etruscan times, the area has been the scene of numerous clay processing activities. The family's brick kiln was productive from 1710 to 2011. It is a great pleasure for the owners to keep this tradition alive in practice and to allow guests to completely immerse themselves in the history of terracotta processing with this course experience.

A classic of the Tuscan experience is the preparation of typical regional dishes. Let yourself be tempted by lesser-known recipes and delicious Tuscan specialties and then enjoy the dishes you have prepared!

Get to know the typical aromas and flavors of this region at the Mangiafoco restaurant! It features a cozy, air-conditioned interior as well as spacious outdoor areas, including a fragrant strawberry grape pergola under which one can taste the delicious dishes while enjoying the wonderful panoramic views. The typical regional dishes are prepared with love for the guests using seasonal, local, high-quality and of course always fresh products, e.g. B. Donzelle, dough, accompanied by mixed cold cuts and buffalo meat bites as well as a selection of cheeses and homemade jam. You can also try hamburgers made from Chianina cattle and fresh tagliatelle with meat ragout. All pizzas and flatbreads are made with the best Italian flours and sourdough, which has a rising time of 36 to 48 hours. A high water content of around 70 percent ensures lightness, digestibility and crunchiness.
