Who are the chefs?

Our chefs are familiar with the traditional dishes prepared in Tuscan families. They would be happy to pass on these recipes with useful tips to you.

What dishes are cooked?

At lunchtime and in the evening you will prepare two starters and two main courses (“Primo” and “Secondo”), as well as side dishes and a dessert. It goes without saying that a good meal also includes a fine wine and every course is rounded off with a regional red or white wine.

When and in what time frame does the course take place?

From 10:00 a.m. or 15:00 p.m. in the afternoon. The courses last between two and three hours, depending on your personal wishes. The entire cooking group then sits together at the table and enjoys the prepared delicacies in a convivial atmosphere.

Where does the course take place?

The communal cooking experience takes place in a typical Tuscan country house kitchen in the Valdera area (e.g. Terricciola, Peccioli, Palaia or Lajatico) in the province of Pisa.
The exact location will be announced in good time before the appointment.

In which language are the courses held?

An assistant (who speaks German, Spanish, French, Italian or Russian upon request) will be at your side during the cooking courses; he will explain the individual cooking steps to you or translate the information and instructions from the cook. He will also be happy to answer your questions.

Private cooking class or cooking school?

1) Cooking school

Cooking courses on fixed topics, days and times for small groups of 4 people or more. Log in!

A) Typical Tuscan menu – Tuesday afternoons from 15:00 p.m. or 16:00 p.m
Duration: approx. 4 hours + dinner
Preparation: 3 typical Tuscan dishes.
The selection of dishes will be made by the staff, also based on the dietary restrictions specified by the participants at the time of booking.
Afterwards: dinner together with local wines

B) Pasta and pizza making course – Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. or 15:00 p.m
Duration: 3 hours + lunch/dinner
Preparation: 3 courses – pasta dough with sauce and savory pizzas and flatbreads and also sweet pizzas
Afterwards: lunch together with local wines or other drinks

C) Cooking class with breakfast and lunch – Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m.

This cooking class for typical Tuscan specialties takes place in a stylish setting in a 19th-century building, where history and nature blend together. The day begins with a rich continental breakfast featuring local produce, including sweet and savory, gluten-free, and vegan options.
Cooking is done communally. The course lasts between three and four hours, depending on your personal preferences. At the end of the course, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch with the dishes you've prepared.

Cooking class: “Antipasti, Pasta & Dessert

  • From 09:00: Breakfast buffet in the restaurant.
  • From 10:30 approx.: The chef first demonstrates each step to the course participants and then provides helpful support when the “test cooks” get to work themselves.
  • During the cooking lessons, participants will be treated to snacks and drinks! Once all the dishes are finished, participants receive a certificate and enjoy a shared meal!

2) Half-day private cooking class

The cooking class can take place in various country houses in the immediate vicinity between Peccioli and Terricciola, depending on availability. The customer can determine the day, time, topic and details in consultation with the organizer. Special requests can also be taken into account.
