For over 400 years, the magnificent villa at the entrance to Terricciola, the city of wine, has been inhabited by the influential noble Gherardi del Testa family. As guests, you will have the pleasure of admiring rooms with centuries-old frescoes, paintings and furniture, which house many beautiful works of art that have always belonged to the family. With Count Cosimo and his aunt, Countess Valeria, you can discover this magnificent private villa and its gardens and travel back in time to the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, followed by a wine tasting of fine wines. Wine tasting with the Countess
The influential noble Gherardi del Testa family has lived in this magnificent villa at the entrance to the village of Terricciola since their ancestor Sebastiono Gherardi Del Testa from Pisa had a family residence built here in 1660. The property was expanded by subsequent generations in the 18th and 19th centuries. In the main house, in addition to decorations and elegant frescoes, a series of testimonies have been preserved that give us interesting insights into the life of a noble family in the countryside from its beginnings to the present day. You, as guests, will have the pleasure of admiring rooms with centuries-old furniture, in which many beautiful works of art are kept that have always been in the family's possession. Finally, you will take a seat in the main hall of the villa and, in the company of Countess Valeria, enjoy a wine tasting of fine wines presented directly by the winemaker. The visit can then continue in the garden and in the open spaces.

“My name is Rebecca and I am the wife of one of the last descendants of the Gherardi del Testa family, who have owned this villa from the beginning. Our family still lives here today. My husband Cosimo and I were married in the family's small, still-consecrated chapel, which contains a Madonna attributed to Andrea del Sarto. The villa is really beautiful and is already visited by many tourists in the area, always by appointment. With me, my husband Cosimo and his aunt, Countess Valeria, you can discover this magnificent private villa and embark on a journey back in time to the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. We will reveal many secrets of this beautiful historic villa and its former residents.”
