Tour wine route of the Colline Pisane

The “Colline Pisane” stretches between Pisa and Volterra. Here the wine route leads through a rural area with many small traditional villages where farming life is still present.

It is a lovely hilly landscape with typical Tuscan vegetation, which can be traveled not only by car, but also by alternative means of transport, be it by bike, on foot or on horseback. In addition, wine tastings and tastings of other gastronomic delicacies can be perfectly combined with a visit to historical sights.

Below you will find further information about this wine route, each with recommended holiday homes and adventure programs that can be easily reached or carried out from these routes:

Stages

Typical wines and products

Wines: Each of the many wineries in this area has its own wine philosophy; the offering is individual and very diverse, due to a strong wine tradition and many years of experience in the production of high-quality wines, which in most cases are still handmade and despite being relatively small quantities on the huge wine market! The wineries and wine cellars can usually be visited. Other quality products: organic cheese, chocolates (Amedei), pasta (Pasta Martelli), olive oil
