With the Vespa through Tuscany

Last year celebrated the Wasp her 70th birthday and to this day the cult scooter is as much a part of Italy as pizza, pasta and Chianti. Unforgettable for film buffs: Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck's joyride through Rome in the film “A Heart and a Crown”.

On a journey of discovery with fun and ease

The sun on your skin and the wind in your hair, rolling slowly along quiet country roads, through rolling hills and medieval villages - there is hardly any other way you can experience Tuscany with as much ease and fun as on a Vespa.

We have put together full-day, half-day and multi-day round tours for you that take you with the cult scooter, for example from Lari via Chianni, Casciana and Peccioli to the open-air theater “Teatro del Silenzio” in Lajatico, the hometown of Andrea Bocelli. Or you can drive comfortably from Villasaletta to Palaia, looking for truffles along the way, before continuing your tour of discovery after a typical Italian lunch.

A few tips for the scooter tour through Tuscany

If you want to go on a Vespa tour without any inconvenience, you should follow a few rules:
  • In Italy, outside built-up areas and on the motorways, you must drive with lights on during the day.
  • Motorways are not allowed to be driven on a scooter anyway.
  • You may only take a passenger with you if a passenger seat is shown in the vehicle registration document and the driver is at least 18 years old.
  • Helmets are required for the driver and front passenger. If you violate this, you could face fines of up to €310 and, in individual cases, even have the scooter confiscated.
  • There is a speed limit of 50 km/h within built-up areas; outside the limit is 90 km/h.

When parking, it is helpful to remember the different curb markings: If the curb has white stripes, there are no parking fees. Blue stripes, on the other hand, indicate that you can only park for a fee, while black and yellow markings indicate that parking is prohibited.
