terricciola shines at the “Long Night of Wine”: enjoyment, wine glasses, music and spectacular shows

Next Saturday, July 6, Terricciola will once again be the centre of a special celebration: the White Night of Wine invites locals and visitors alike to Fascination of wine, sweet treats and impressive performances The picturesque village of Terricciola, known for its rich wine tradition in the Valdera, will be in a festive mood on July 6th. The event will breathe new life into the streets and squares of the town, transforming them into an open theater where talented artists from the region will show off their art. Mayor Matteo Arcenni underlines the importance of this event for Terricciola: "The 'Notte Bianca del Vino' is not just a celebration, but a unique opportunity to discover the gastronomic and oenological highlights of our region and to immerse yourself in the traditions and magic of our village. We warmly invite everyone to experience with us a night full of joy and enthusiasm."

 

 

The program at a glance

The events will start at 19pm and will continue until late at night. The most prestigious wineries from Terricciola and the province of Pisa will set up their "barrique" stands along the picturesque streets of the village and offer wine tastings. There will also be local food stands with delicious regional specialties.

The various squares of the village are enlivened by music and performances:

1. The Terrazza Panoramica della Misericordia hosts the Tango concert “Sulle ali del Tango” with pieces by Piazzolla, Gardel, Rodriguez and other composers. The dancers Ornella Cantini and Marco Salvadori are accompanied by Marco Vanni on soprano saxophone and Massimo Signorini on accordion.
2. In front of the Chiesa della Compagnia, the Dance and fire performance “Dancing with the Flames – The Sparkle” the audience with their elegance and sophistication.
3. In Piazza XXV Luglio, DJ Citi with his music to dance, while the local Streetband Funkycciola will create a lively atmosphere in Piazza XX Settembre.
4. On the Piazza della Chiesa, an outstanding Duo consisting of Ginevra Guerrini (vocals) and Anastasiya Cherkasova (piano), takes visitors on a musical journey from pop to jazz to classical influences.

A cultural highlight of the evening will be a special Book presentation which will take place on the Terrazza Panoramica in Vicolo delle Grotte. the interactive book “Non avere paura del buio”, full of rhymes for children and teachers. The Author Mariangela Giusti will discuss the book with Mayor Matteo Arcenni and teacher Rebecca Fedeli.

To ensure visitors arrive comfortably, a free shuttle service is available from 19:30 p.m. to midnight. The shuttle starts at the parking lot of the “Bottegone della Calzatura” in La Rosa and runs every 30 minutes.
