Tennis vacation in Tuscany

They all know each other from Iphitos Tennis Club in Munich: Marvin, Florian, Wolfgang, Chris and Davide. Marvin, who runs the gym at the Iphitos Tennis Club, had had the idea of organizing a tennis camp in Tuscany for a long time. So what could be more obvious than to get tennis teachers Florian and Davide from Toscana-Forum excited about the idea? At the beginning of June the time had come: with the tennis equipment in our luggage we headed towards Terricciola to explore the conditions for a tennis holiday in Tuscany. You can find the program here Tennis vacation in Tuscany in detail.

Fitness program before breakfast

As soon as you arrive, accommodation in the spacious manor house calls Terricciola estate, whose buildings have been lovingly restored and equipped with every conceivable comfort, generate general enthusiasm. The beautiful, hilly landscape seems tailor-made for Marvin's fitness program, for which everyone meets before breakfast: After an initial fitness session, they go running - uphill, downhill along a beautiful path - until everyone ends up back at the pool and completes a few more tennis-specific exercises . The breakfast is also impressive, so Munich residents can fortify themselves at the varied buffet. Marvin is full of praise: “I travel a lot in Italy and most of the time the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. But what we were offered here by Alessandro, who incidentally learned from star chef Alfio Ghezzi, was without exception great!” And Wolfgang added: “Stefania and Sara, the angels of the estate, literally read all our wishes from our eyes”.

Top-prepared pitches and summery temperatures

We continue to the neighboring village, where the tennis club with two open sand courts and four covered sand and hard courts awaits the players in wonderful spring weather with summer temperatures. Florian, who prefers to play in the sun even when it's 30 degrees in the shade, prefers the uncovered sand courts for training. “I was able to improve a lot on my footwork”, says Wolfgang after the trip, “and even though it was sometimes tough in the heat, the training was incredibly fun.” That's true too Chris to who secretly wished he could train in the open halls every now and then: “But no one could escape Florian’s enthusiasm for playing in the open air!”. Florian, who has often traveled to Rimini in Italy as an Iphitos trainer, rates the tennis club and the well-prepared courts as very, very good. For tennis players who are more bothered by the heat than he is, he recommends spring and autumn for a tennis holiday in Tuscany.

Definitely repeat

After a light lunch with salad and fresh pasta, we're supposed to go back to the estate and have the afternoon at leisure, but the passionate tennis cracks also want to hit the yellow felt balls over the nets in the afternoon. In the evening, Davide finally left Tuscany Forum still have a few highlights of his homeland up his sleeve when he brings his tennis friends to a small, typical Tuscan restaurant in the old castle wall of Lari, to a exclusive wine tasting to a top restaurant in neighboring Lajatico, Andrea Bocelli's home village, or to the best pizzeria in Terricciola. At the end of the week-long trip, everyone agrees: “The trip with all the trimmings was well organized by Toscana-Forum and the tennis camp in Tuscany definitely has to be repeated!”
