Winter in Tuscany

Winter in Tuscany. Winter vacation in Bella Italy!

Perhaps you have often thought about turning your back on the German winter, at least for a while? Wouldn't wintering in Tuscany be an alternative? Italy also has a temperate climate in winter. Snow and rain are rare, but sun is very common, with cool but almost never icy temperatures. In this section you will find the holiday accommodations that are particularly recommended for wintering in Tuscany. Further useful information about the Tuscan winter can be found below.

Wintering in Tuscany: Good to know...

On average, the air temperature in Tuscany in winter is a mild 10 degrees. Of course, it should be borne in mind that it is warmer and drier on the coast and in flatter areas than in hilly or mountainous areas. There is also a south-north gradient in temperatures. The coldest month is January with average temperatures of around four degrees inland and around seven degrees on the coast. Tuscany is ideal for wintering because it is geographically well located, meaning it can be easily reached by car in one or two days. In addition to the mild temperatures, what is particularly attractive is the unique landscape with its large hills covered in cypresses, olives and vines, which has a very special charm, especially in winter. The picturesque morning clouds of fog that envelop hills and mountains are characteristic. In addition to the wonderful nature, it is the great and unique culture that always attracts tourists to Tuscany. Cities like Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca etc. with all their interesting museums, churches and other treasures are particularly lovely to explore at this time of year as they are less visited than in the summer months. Not to forget the so-called Dolce Vita, the Italian joie de vivre and the excellent cuisine paired with excellent wines, which make wintering in Tuscany a wonderful experience. It is therefore definitely worth considering spending the winter months in Tuscany, as the prices are also lower compared to summer, but this in no way detracts from the quality of the services offered, on the contrary. Another plus point: If, contrary to expectations, something needs to be sorted out at home, you can get back relatively quickly. We have put together a selection of holiday accommodations for you, which, should the weather become inhospitable, score points with an extensive wellness offer and, of course, with excellent and outstanding hospitality. Finally, another crucial detail: having a super-fast internet connection makes it possible to work from your winter home and stay in touch with the world at home.
