Agriturismo Saturnia

The Agriturismo Saturnia is the ideal place to relax from everyday life in beautiful nature. It is located in an idyllic and quiet location, approx. 5-7 minutes by car outside the thermal resort Saturnia.

Agriturismo Saturnia is located on a hill in the heart of the beautiful Maremma. Here you can let your gaze wander and, depending on the season, always enjoy a new, beautiful view: in spring, the intensively blooming mountain maple trees dominate the view until they give way to shady oaks and golden yellow fields in summer. Autumn paints everything in magnificently bright colors, before winter on sunny days hints at a touch of nature that will soon be awakening again, when the delicate green of the meadows and olive trees becomes visible. The famous thermal resort of Saturnia offers opportunities to enjoy the healing waters both inside the thermal complex and outside in the natural thermal springs “Cascate del Mulino”, where bathing fun is even free.

The apartments in the agriturismo are divided into two houses:

• House 1
  There are two apartments (BR2E and FA1E) in this fully fenced house. The BR2E holiday apartments have their own barbecue and a fenced garden area, which makes them particularly ideal for holidays with dogs. The other apartment is occasionally occupied by the owner himself.

• House 2

The other two holiday apartments (CH3E and CO3E) are two adjoining, small houses with a shared covered barbecue area. Each apartment has its own entrance, an individual outdoor area with table and chairs and a living/dining area. Facilities also include air conditioning, WiFi and TV. The kitchens are fully equipped, with only CO3E having a dishwasher. CH3E is wheelchair accessible, and House 2 has no steps and is therefore barrier-free accessible.

Sports activities at Agriturismo Saturnia:

If you want to keep fit at the same time, you don't just have the opportunity to do so by swimming or playing a table tennis match. Rather, it is advisable to explore the surrounding beauties on numerous hiking trails and paths either on foot or by bike.

We particularly recommend a walk along the banks of the Albenga river and the footpath to the Cascate del Mulino, approx. 6 km away.

Italian course at Agriturismo Saturnia:

If you are interested, it is also possible to book an Italian language course: In addition to a university degree in communication science, the owner has a diploma in teaching Italian as a foreign language (DITALS 1), completed at the University for Foreigners in Siena.

Wedding in the agriturismo:

The landlady is also a trained wedding planner (diploma as a wedding planner). Beach, lake & sea

If you are looking for beaches, you will find them both on the southern Lago di Bolsena and on the Tyrrhenian Sea. You can reach the coast with the Monte Argentario peninsula in about 60 minutes by car. Not only the beach of Talmone and the coastal towns of Porto S. Stefano, Porto Ercole and Orbetello are attractive here, but also the famous Parco Naturale della Maremma natural park.

Bergen

Another jewel with largely untouched nature lies to the north of Saturnia: the 1.738 meter high mountain Monte Amiata, surrounded by small romantic places that are worth a visit. There is also skiing here in the winter months.

Culture: the Etruscans and the tuff towns

In addition to the natural beauty, there are also traces of ancient cultures: in the immediate vicinity in the archaeological area of ​​Puntone you can visit Etruscan tombs, the so-called necropolis, e.g. B. in the famous tuff stone town of Sovana. Other tuff towns are Pitigliano and Sorano.

Attention: the holiday complex usually opens between mid-April and the beginning of May and closes again on October 15th (at the same time as the opening times of the pool). On request, interesting booking requests for the period from April to the end of October can also be taken into account. Even if the swimming pool is not yet open, guests do not have to miss out on bathing fun, as the Saturnia thermal baths are also within walking distance.
