Holiday home Sassetta

This “fairy house” is located in a beautiful hillside location in the middle of a nature reserve, with fantastic views of the forests of Val di Cornia. 12 km to the sea. A beautiful 25 minute drive through forest and vineyards to the beaches of Marina di Castagneto. 3 km outside the historic village Sassetta, 6 km to Castagneto Carducci. This is just 200 m above the famous wine route, which leads from Bolgheri via Castagneto Carducci to Sassetta to Suvereto. In addition, this well-maintained road winding through the fresh forests is called the “most beautiful bicycle road” in Tuscany. It is well known that this area offers popular cycling routes and the streets with very little car traffic complete the extremely attractive area for cycling holidays.

The maisonette apartment

The south wing of the Sassetta holiday home, very sunny and bright, is available to guests. The host family lives in the north wing. All windows and glass doors have a view of the garden and the vast Tuscan hills. An open-space apartment, in light colors, approx. 75m2, which is distributed over two levels. The entrance door from the private garden leads into the living-dining room, with a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave, gas stove, refrigerator and American coffee machine. A Swedish stove provides cozy warmth in the cork-insulated apartment in the cooler seasons. Flat satellite TV and stereo system are also available. Adjacent is the bathroom (also with a view of the garden). A wooden spiral staircase leads to the bright bedroom with a woven salotto armchair, a cozy reading corner and two French doors that open onto a small balcony with a panoramic view!

The garden

The private garden for guests is framed by cork oaks and beeches; Lavender and rosemary bushes perfume the natural Mediterranean garden. Deck chairs and dining area on the lawn and an antique bakery with barbecue area are available. The property is fully fenced and dogs are welcome!

“The Fairy of the Fairy House”

The landlady of the Sassetta holiday home is originally from Switzerland and lives in the main house with her dog, kittens and horses. She takes great care of her guests' privacy and, upon request, she is of course happy to give tips, hints and information to enrich her guests' stay.

Wellness facility with a medieval look

Just a 5-minute walk from the Sassetta holiday home is a stylish wellness facility with its own thermal water source, where guests of the fairy house are also welcome! (See the photo in the photo gallery!)
