After a careful three-year renovation, the respectable, comfortable Villa Toscana Marti 3 was created from a beautifully situated former Tuscan farmhouse. The restoration was very elaborate, but always with an eye on preserving originality while at the same time ensuring modern comfort and incorporating new, environmentally friendly techniques . Situated on a hill and surrounded by 3 hectares of forest and olive groves and a magnificent garden, this Villa Toscana offers spectacular views over the unspoiled Tuscan countryside. Here, halfway between Palaia and Marti (Montopoli Valdarno), the area is known for the famous white truffles. In fact, one of the largest truffles ever found in the area was found in the forest behind Villa Toscana. Pisa, whose airport is also served by international and low-cost airlines, is only 40 minutes away by car and the next larger city, Pontedera, can be reached in around 20 minutes. There are grocery stores in Marti, just four kilometers from the house. Access to Villa Toscana Marti 3 is via a country road, which, however, is not suitable for lowered sports cars. The ground floor consists of a large entrance area which leads into a salon. Here you will find satellite TV with a digital flat screen connected to a Bose surround system and also a considerable collection of English books, film DVDs and numerous music CDs. To the right there is a spacious, open living room of 60 square meters. The furnishings, in a mix of English and Italian character, are very tasteful and sophisticated, so that the guest can feel at home. The window in the living room offers a magnificent view over the valley. A fireplace provides pleasant warmth in winter. The adjacent dining room comfortably seats 10 people. From here you can reach a fully equipped kitchen with new kitchen appliances via a terracotta staircase. Since the owner is an enthusiastic hobby cook, there are both electric and gas cooking options, as well as a halogen electric stove, dishwasher and many other kitchen appliances. There is also a utility room on the ground floor with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. The bedrooms are on the upper floor: Here you will find three large double rooms with marble bathrooms en suite, as well as a twin room with shower. The largest bedroom has a large shower. All bathrooms - except the small double room - are equipped with bidets. Beds and mattresses offer maximum comfort, and the bed linen has also been carefully selected to ensure guests have a good night's sleep. Large closets in the bedrooms provide plenty of storage space, and clothes hangers are available. For environmental reasons one was created geothermal heating installed that works without gas or oil and responds automatically to the natural temperature of the ground. In winter, underfloor heating provides the ground floor and the radiators on the first floor with pleasant warmth, while the system does so in summer for cooling serves. Double glazed windows provide additional comfort. A traditional charcoal grill invites you to enjoy cozy meals outside. There is space for up to 10 people under shady parasols in the outdoor area opposite the kitchen. If you want to refresh yourself in the cool water, you will find a swimming pool with an outdoor shower and pool furniture, more precisely 8 comfortable deck chairs and a few armchairs, in the spacious garden. You can also enjoy a beautiful view of the country from here. There are many hiking trails and paths to explore around Villa Toscana Marti 3, so nature lovers will get their money's worth. The environment is ideal for children and adults. At the same time, the location is ideal for excursions to the most important art and cultural cities in Tuscany. Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca attract with a variety of cultural offerings, but smaller centers such as San Gimignano, Volterra or Leonardo's birthplace Vinci are also worth a visit. They are all easily accessible by car, as is the Tyrrhenian coast with its beaches.
