With a little delay, we would like to give you some feedback on our vacation in July in Sasetta.

We spent a wonderful and quiet holiday week with the P. family and felt very comfortable. Our friendly hosts were very attentive and gave us lots of tips for our holiday in the region.

The holiday apartment is furnished very tastefully and with great attention to detail. We also had an idyllic piece of the garden surrounded by old cork trees just for ourselves. - Every now and then we received a lovely visit from one of the pets.

In the small, still typically Italian town you will find everything you need for self-catering and there are also a few restaurants to choose from. Everything worked out for us.

Dear Ms. Santoni,

We spent three wonderful weeks in May/June with Elvira, Antonio, their two sons and their animals. The part of Tuscany that was previously unknown to us was an experience: cork forests, blooming meadows with rare flowers, vineyards and excellent wine, ancient towns on the mountaintops, wide views, peace, nature and friendly people everywhere, not to forget the excellent food.

The bright, lovingly designed holiday apartment with modern furniture, very good beds, spotlessly clean and smelling of good things, all garden furniture, a sunny seating area directly in front of the living room or a few steps further in our own part of the garden, with our own access was ideal for us. Only for people who cook for themselves - which we only do sometimes - does the narrow kitchenette take some getting used to (even if it's complete!). By the way, in Sassetta (approx. 1,5 km by car) you can easily get all your groceries, and even without knowing Italian there was good, friendly contact. An excellent supermarket is also not far away. And it's only about half an hour's drive to the wonderfully clean beach, which is almost deserted in May.

After just a few days, we classified our landlords as the nicest landlords we have met in almost 40 years of "holiday home experience": Elvira, who works as a photographer at home, is a warm, uncomplicated woman, full of tips and advice, helpful and funny. For us, garden lovers, she lovingly potted spice cuttings and labeled them - they now remind us of the good times in Tuscany. She speaks German and other languages ​​fluently, but leaves you completely undisturbed and is only there when you want her to be.

Antonio, her busy husband, who built the entire house - and a beautiful covered barbecue - with his own hands (technically first class!), is very personable. Since he didn't speak German but spoke French, there was always some funny gibberish. He makes his own wine and olive oil, his friends cook well - all things that we as guests also benefited from. The two sons, 16-year-old Joel and 12-year-old Martin, were hardly ever heard or seen, but if they were, they were as well behaved as one could wish for.

Finally, two special experiences: There is a German Shepherd, Lakey, who is a soul of a dog. Doesn't bark, isn't annoying, doesn't go into the apartment - does her checks several times a day to make sure everything is OK, lays down at her feet, is simply (like the whole family!) friendly and uncomplicated. My wife, who is afraid of all kinds of dogs, loved her last. And the many cats living around the house behave similarly.

Which of you has ever gone for a walk with an almost fully grown cinghiale, a tame wild boar ("cingi")? You can do that with Elvira and - we promise - it's a unique experience. It has its own enclosure and the friendship with the hugging, burrowing forest dweller didn't become too deep - I always remembered the spelling "Schingi" (from ham!!!) when he heard his nickname....

We came as tenants and parted as friends and hope that the family - as promised - will soon visit us here in Germany.

Thank you again for arranging the holiday home Sassetta in Tuscany. We had a wonderful week, with great weather, a beautiful landscape, a great beach and fantastic places and cities.

And last but not least, our holiday home, with the nicest landlords we have ever had and a uniquely beautifully furnished holiday apartment. The landlords were always available to give us insider tips and this made it a truly unforgettable holiday for us. We and our boxer dog Kira are now absolute Tuscany fans! Italy is a bit difficult with dogs in some parts, but we only had good experiences on this holiday. Our “Boxerrrrrr” was admired and loved by many!
