There is also a wide range of cycle routes here, so that the tourist can individually choose the level of difficulty of the route that suits them. There are coastal paths here that offer a varied landscape. The routes also lead over rolling hills, through dense forests and nature reserves, such as: B. the Maremma Regional Natural Park, and to archaeological excavation sites.
Paths through the hinterland lead into the tuff area to the towns Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana. Here you feel like you are traveling back in time to a time long gone. Impressive necropolises, so-called “rock paths”, ie mysterious paths carved out of tuff, as well as medieval fortresses and underground passages lie along the way and bear witness to flourishing cultures in ancient times.
