We were in Chianni 6 for the second time and it was very nice again.
Sufficient for 2 people - the price is low - and there was also a small but enclosed area at the house for our three dogs.
We also found a dog boarding facility nearby (Parco Verde in Lari). We were able to leave our four-legged friends there on a daily basis and take a relaxed stroll through Livorno or go to the sea. We delivered them there early and picked them up again in the evening. The Parco Verde was a great stroke of luck for us and is a good reason to come back to Chianni or the surrounding area - alongside the Bar Centrale, of course.
This time we also visited Lucca and were amazed by this medieval city. Chianni is quite central if you don't go towards Sassi Bianchi and take the (apparent) detour via Pontedera. Livorno was also particularly beautiful with the market hall and the stalls selling clothes (linen things!) on Friday morning.
S. Tartufo in Palaia was also a great discovery. We experienced an exciting truffle hunt and then enjoyed a multi-course truffle menu, which is not to be missed.
Just outside of Palaia there is also a small pottery factory where we stocked up on really unusual jewelry pendants.
The visit to Martelli Pasta in Lari was disappointing. According to the information on the web, they expected a variety of pasta shapes - unfortunately there was only spaghetti and one other type and the shop was difficult to find. But the taste is excellent and next time I'll take what fits in the car.
Of course we were also in Terricciola, thank you for your encores.
I would also like to expressly praise your website again: it is much more informative and clearer than many Italian tourist websites and I am glad that we ended up with you. Gladly again!
