In 2019 you can get the most out of your vacation

If you cleverly combine vacation, public holidays and bridge days in 2019, you can get the most out of time off and plan really long holidays without using too many vacation days. We'll show you how to use your vacation days most effectively:

Combine Easter and May 1st

In 2019, Easter with Good Friday on April 19th, Easter Sunday on April 21st and Easter Monday on April 22nd is once again quite late and offers the first good opportunity for a lot of days off:
  • With just four days of vacation - from April 15th to 18th and from April 23rd to 26th - you get ten days off in a row.
  • If you combine Easter with May 1st, you can turn 15 vacation days into 3 days off from April 12th to May 23rd, for example to enjoy the first warming rays of spring sun in the Santopietro country residence.
  • Another combination is similarly cheap: If you submit vacation from April 23rd to May 3rd, you can travel for 17 days with eight days of vacation.
  • If you don't want to use up quite as many vacation days, you can get a total of nine days off for just four vacation days from April 29th to May 3rd.
  • For a short vacation of five days, it is also enough if you take either April 29th and 30th or May 2nd and 3rd off

Ascension Day and Pentecost

This year, Ascension Day falls on May 30th, when Tuscany's most beautiful season has just begun. Using just four days of vacation (May 27th, 28th, 29th and 31st) gives you nine days off. Just a week later comes the Pentecost weekend, where you can travel for ten days by using five days of vacation (June 3rd to 7th). If you add May 31st, it's even 12 days that you might be on one Organic agriturismo in Tuscany want to spend

Time out in autumn and winter

German Unity Day falls on a Thursday in 2019, so you can look forward to a long weekend if you take October 4th off. If you also submit vacation from September 30th to October 2nd, you even have a whole week off, for example Holiday Home In Tuscany to soak up the sun again before the long winter. Christmas Eve falls on a Tuesday in 2019 and is, from a labor law perspective, a normal working day. But if you use your vacation days wisely, you can turn five days of vacation into 12 days off. Tip: Of course, even more days off arise when regional holidays are combined: On January 6th, the Day of the Three Kings is free in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saxony-Anhalt. Corpus Christi on June 20th is a public holiday in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. In Bavaria and Saarland, the Assumption of Mary on August 15th is a public holiday. On Reformation Day (October 31st) people have the day off in Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia. All Saints' Day is celebrated on November 1st in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. The day of repentance and prayer on November 21st is only a public holiday in Saxony.
