Until the early hours of the morning

A sunny climate, rolling hills and fertile soils are perfect conditions for viticulture. The experience, passion and care of the winemakers make unique wines. One of these winegrowers is the biologist Giuseppe Mongelli, known as Beppe, who, together with Elisa Santoni and Davide Azzaroni, has now visited the shady loggia for the third time Holiday home Tuscany invited to wine tasting.

Only just under 50.000 bottles of Sangiovese, Canaiolo e Colorino and Trebbiano e Colombana are produced annually in Beppe's La Gimonda winery - plus an excellent grappa. The fine wines are tasted with small delicacies from the butcher and the organic cheese dairy in Terricciola. Whether you are already a wine connoisseur or not - in a relaxed atmosphere, Beppe shows guests how to use the three senses - sight, smell, taste - and thus extract some useful information from the wine. You will learn a lot about the old vineyards that Beppe once bought from the mayor of Terricciola, about the grape varieties, how the wines are traditionally pressed and which dishes go particularly well with which wines. Soon the fireflies and cicadas will arrive. People toast each other, laugh and talk. And after the last guests had said “good night” in the early hours of the morning, everyone was on first name terms the next day and agreed on an entertaining and informative evening in which they were able to learn a lot of interesting facts about Tuscan wines.
