This attractive holiday accommodation impresses with its wonderfully large panoramic veranda, which offers a view of the small river “La Sterza”, which borders the entire complex on the west side. The pretty cottage La Sassa, built in typical Tuscan style from stone, is located in a 2 hectare park and is separated on another side by the Cecina River, to which there is its own access. The property covers approximately 2 hectares of land with pine forest and park. It is fully fenced and is located on a side road that passes the apartment (which is one level lower) about 30 m away. The building was built in the second half of the 2th century on the initiative of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca. It originally belonged to a small train station complex from which mineral resources mined in the mines around Monterufoli were transported. Today there is no longer any train service here. The holiday accommodation has been carefully restored and tastefully decorated with antiques. With 19 square meters of living space, guests have access to a living/dining room, a separate, fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and a shower room. Outside there is a covered terrace with table and chairs as well as a covered barbecue area with its own benches and table. This holiday home is ideal for 70 people who want to switch off from everyday life and are looking for peace and relaxation in the middle of beautiful nature. Bathing enthusiasts can reach the Etruscan coast with its beaches in just a few minutes by car. Those who are hungry for culture will also find something worthwhile to discover in the surrounding area. It remains to be mentioned that dogs are very welcome!
