Since yesterday we have returned from our vacation and would like to give you feedback on Asciano 1:
As always, booking via Toscana-Forum was quick, uncomplicated, professional and friendly, we have been happy to recommend you since our first booking 5 years ago, your website is great.

About the accommodation: we received a very friendly welcome from Carmen; We were very happy about the small gift as well as the delicious olive oil and tomatoes. The accommodation itself is nicely furnished, the pool area is also nice, the whole property is in a well-maintained condition. The apple, plum and pear trees that we sometimes helped ourselves to were great.

A good idea from Alessandro and Elisa was to invite the guests to a “welcome drink”. This gave you the opportunity to "get a taste" of not only the family but also the other guests, all with prosecco, wine and small treats. Alessandro also showed us around the property and told us the history of the former mill. Overall, the family is incredibly warm and friendly, you feel welcome.

You should definitely take the guided tour in Siena and enjoy at least one dinner on the farm. The food was one of the highlights of our trip, it tasted delicious and we had lots of nice conversations, partly because Alessandro and Elisa speak English very well. The location of Asciano 1 is also very good, as you can reach the motorway slip road within a few minutes.

The only negative point, which the owners can't help with: of the 6 apartments, they were the only ones without a dog. The other guests had a total of 7 dogs with them, and with Alessandro's dogs there were a total of 10 dogs, which sometimes led to "barking competitions", unfortunately also in the morning. It was mostly quiet at night, Alessandro assured me that he had also instructed the dog owners to be considerate. But that was the only point that bothered us, otherwise it really is a little paradise.

We were very satisfied with your service. Uncomplicated, correct and fast. Your website is very well structured with helpful details. It gives the impression that the accommodations on offer are well selected. This impression has been confirmed for us.

Organic Farm Asciano 1
The young host family is extremely friendly and runs the property with a lot of love and conviction. Our dog was allowed to move freely everywhere and, like us, felt very comfortable. The apartment was well equipped and very tidy. The fenced-in front gardens in front of the apartments are practical, especially for our dog, who would otherwise jump after the cats.

The only (but for us important) point of criticism:
As we know, society in Italy is not always very animal-friendly when it comes to dogs. The parents of the host family also live on the property and, to our shock, they keep their 2 truffle hunting dogs in a kennel that is far too small and dirty. We cannot reconcile this with our sense of animal protection. Unfortunately, when we discovered this after a few days, it really dampened our enthusiasm for this holiday destination. Even though we have a lot of sympathy for the young host family, who credibly asserted that all efforts to change this have failed (we all know how you can run into walls in discussions with older generations), such treatment of animals is not acceptable To agree on the ideology of an organic farm.

Thank you very much for arranging the apartment on the organic farm Asciano 1 in Tuscany.

It was exactly what we were looking for and even exceeded our expectations.

Quiet, dogs really welcome (ours was always out and about with the farm dog Verone!), good breakfast and very personal, friendly care from the hosts. The location for sightseeing and hiking is excellent.

All in all: we have to go back next year.

Another question: We are planning to travel to Tuscany again in mid-May. This time, however, we would like to set up our quarters a little north. It would be good to be in the greater Pisa/Lucca area and, if possible, closer to the coast. Do you have anything in your offer there?
